Importance of Breeding
We've had the pleasure of working with a variety of bird-dog breeds, including Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, German Shorthair Pointers, Brittany Spaniels, Pudelpointers, Setters, Standard Poodles, Wire-haired Pointers, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Weimaraner's, and Vizslas. Our experience has shown that the natural abilities of these dogs can vary significantly, particularly between those bred from hunting lines and those that are not. To ensure a successful training experience, we kindly require all dogs to be purebred bird-dog breeds descended from hunting lines. We ask owners to provide a copy of their AKC registration and pedigree, including any relevant hunt titles or information from the breeder. Thank you for understanding!
Requirements for Board & Train
We believe in providing a personalized, in-home environment for your dog during their stay. Unlike traditional kennels, we do not operate a large facility, which allows us to focus on one dog at a time. Your dog will stay in our home, treated as part of the family, with their own space to relax and play in between training sessions. Therefore, Our boarding services come with a higher standard for behavior than traditional kennel environments, and we require that dogs meet the following criteria to ensure a successful stay:

-
Housebroken: Your dog must be fully house trained.
-
Crate Training: Dogs must be comfortable in a crate. They will sleep in the crate overnight and be crated when we leave the house. They should be calm and settled, without barking or attempting to escape, as trying to escape could lead to injury.
-
Behavior with Gates: Dogs should not attempt to jump over baby gates.
-
Polite Behavior: We ask that dogs do not bite, jump excessively on people, or jump on doors, windows, counters, or tables.
-
Non-Destructive: Dogs must not be destructive to property. Any damage caused by chewing or other behaviors will result in reimbursement for repairs.
-
Male Dogs: Male dogs must not mark indoors.
Settling In: We understand that adjusting to a new environment can be challenging for dogs. To make the transition easier, we provide a 1-week grace period for all dogs to settle into our home. During this time, we closely monitor their behavior and ensure they are adjusting to the routine.
At the end of the trial period, if your dog is still struggling with behavior issues, we will offer alternative solutions, such as hourly training sessions, and send your dog home. Payment will be required for the time spent with us during the boarding period.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about our policy. We're happy to discuss how we can best care for your dog and help them succeed in their training.
